The incredible trio of York Symphony talent (Lawrence Golan, Sara Male and Narae Lee) performs Beethoven’s Concerto for Violin, Cello and Piano. An expressive chamber ensemble balances the brilliance of the soloists in this fascinating work. Louise Farrenc, just 33 years younger than Beethoven and highly influenced by his legacy, was a woman ahead of her time. Her powerful Third Symphony captivates with its haunting melodies and evocative themes rooted in the Romantic era. Adding an air of mysticism to the program, Arvo Pärt’s Fratres develops its core melody through a progressively evolving pattern—creating space for contemplation and uplift.
