The York Symphony Orchestra and Chorus concludes the season with Carl Orff’s “Carmina Burana.” Inspired by medieval poems and codex, the piece combines bold percussion with recurring vocals and vivacious harmonies. Strauss’ “Wine, Women and Song” captures a Viennese Waltz structure with sassy arrangements and fanfare.
