More about the Artists
Turn To Stone: A Tribute to ELO was created to preserve the legacy and music of Electric Light Orchestra for all generations of fans. In order to create an authentic experience, Turn to Stone tours similar to how Jeff Lynne led the Electric Light Orchestra in the 1970s, with a guitarist, keyboardist, bassist, drummer, violins and cellos.
Electric Light Orchestra was formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England, to create modern rock songs with classical overtones. After a founding member departed the group in 1972, Jeff Lynne became the sole leader of the band, producing and arranging all of their music. He, along with keyboardist Richard Tandy, bass player Kelly Groucutt, and drummer Bev Bevan, would go on to create the magic that ELO is recognized for around the world.
The members of Turn to Stone are proud to perform the music of ELO to all generations of fans across America. These professional musicians have been playing music their whole lives. The string section for Turn to Stone is furnished by the Dayton, Ohio company, Viva La Strings.
