Jazz and improvisational music is one of the Great American Art Forms. Led by Matt Monticchio, the Appell Center for the Performing Arts Jazz Band gives students the chance to play in small groups and ensembles, tackle lead sheets, and improvise solos. The session runs for 9 weeks through the fall, with a public performance in the historic Capitol Theatre on the last day of the session!

Recommended for students grades 9 – 12. Students grade 8 with teacher recommendation.
