The Appell Center is pleased to
bring a new performing arts
opportunity to theater loving
fans. National Theatre Live presents
exquisite filmed productions of theater
productions, directly from London’s
West End.
Screenings will occur throughout the
2020-2021 season and will be shown in the
high definition and surround sound glory
of the Capitol Theatre. With ticket prices of
$15 and $13 (Members and Veterans), this
is an ideal opportunity to experience some
of the greatest plays performed by many
of today’s top actors.
Performed by theatre legends Alex Jennings and Lindsay Duncan, Hansard is full of witty banter and stinging one liners. Set against the political landscape of 1980’s Thatcher Britain, what starts out as personal digs between a married couple after work on a Friday night crashes into political judgements that brings secrets from the past spilling out of the closet.
