The Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Competition is the preliminary to the iconic Miss America Competition. Young women throughout the Commonwealth compete for thousands of dollars in scholarships and the chance of a lifetime to compete for the title of Miss America.
Held over three nights, the Miss Pennsylvania Scholarship Competition and Miss Pennsylvania’s Outstanding Teen Competition highlights the achievements and talents of young women and teens from throughout Pennsylvania.
The Miss PA Scholarship Foundation, Inc. (MPSF) is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to empowering young women. We are the official licensee of the Miss America Organization for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The organization is dedicated to the Miss America mission, “To prepare great women for the world, and to prepare the world for great women.” This is accomplished by focusing on scholarship, social impact, talent, and empowerment at the local and state levels.
Two seating options exist for this event. The front section of the Strand Theatre will be seating at full capacity. Seating from rows N and back as well as in the balcony will be socially distanced. Climate control systems are set to maximize recirculation of fresh air. Mask are required when entering, exiting and moving through the facility and may be removed once seated.
