Program Overview

The Appell Center proudly partners with the York City School District to create and staff the William Penn High School Performing Arts Institute. The institute currently teaches over 200 high school students. Some of the classes include acting, stage makeup and costume design, hip hop, ballet, tap, playwriting, and technical theater. Students work throughout the school year to present a fall play and spring musical.
